Monid Backlink Sample: Reading DR and Editorial Mentions

A review of a third-party public sample

Monid’s Ahrefs API article publishes its own domain and referring-domain data. We checked that public page on September 24, 2026. We did not rerun Ahrefs or independently verify every linking page. This is not a Meridian client project or evidence of results delivered by our agency.

The article reports DR 53 with a provider date of September 14, 2026, then shows ten referring domains sorted by DR. The 33 links and six followed links below belong to that displayed sample. They are not established as the complete backlink total, and do not explain what caused the domain’s score.

What the displayed sample contains

DomainDRLinksDofollow
youtube.com9940
github.com9780
substack.com9422
arxiv.org9311
producthunt.com9150
pypi.org9110
beehiiv.com9133
luma.com9160
dexscreener.com9120
crunchbase.com9110

The followed links are concentrated in Substack, Beehiiv, and arXiv. That pattern merits investigation. The aggregate rows do not show each linking page, placement, author relationship, or commercial outcome. The publisher’s description of these links as editorial is a source claim, not our independent verification.

DR is Ahrefs’ third-party backlink metric, not a Google ranking score. A high referring-domain DR does not establish that a particular page is relevant, indexed, or likely to bring qualified enquiries.

Follow and nofollow attributes are part of a link review. They do not by themselves prove how Google uses a particular link. This sample cannot establish that GitHub or Product Hunt links have no value, or that a paper citation transfers a predictable amount of authority. Platform mentions may help discovery; visits and leads need their own evidence.

There is no before-and-after comparison, complete link history, search-performance series, or sales record here. Claiming that these mentions caused DR 53, higher rankings, or business growth would go beyond the available evidence.

How to review a paper or newsletter mention

  1. Open the specific source URL and record its publisher, date, destination, link attributes, and surrounding context.
  2. Check whether the product is relevant to the question and actually used or discussed; record any paid or other relationship.
  3. Distinguish independent editorial selection, voluntary mentions, brand-owned publication, and paid partnerships.
  4. Save the inspection date and recheck availability. An accessible page is not proof of search indexation.
  5. Track referral visits, qualified enquiries, and search performance separately from publication counts.

A content hypothesis to investigate

Technical products with useful research, data, or tooling can publish reproducible examples, documentation, methods, and resources that help relevant authors use and cite them accurately. Authors and editors decide whether those materials deserve a paper, technical article, or newsletter mention.

This is a proposed approach inspired by the sample, not Monid’s documented execution history. We cannot infer whom they contacted, what they paid, or how each link was acquired. A paper created solely to obtain a backlink, without a substantive contribution, would not provide the evidence buyers need.

Compare the deliverable beyond the domain score

Ask an outreach provider for the target page, audience relevance, source URL, editorial context, commercial relationship, and acceptance criteria. Identify missing evidence before deciding whether to run an experiment.
