Help buyers compare, then help them get started

This B2B business provides web-data access infrastructure. Its audience includes teams comparing suppliers and developers trying to complete a concrete setup or integration task. Search content needed to explain product choices and give readers a usable path into documentation and plans.

The work combined a new set of supplier-comparison pages with substantive updates to existing guides. Publication checks then reviewed the page content, search configuration, navigation, legacy addresses, and the next step a reader could take.

The engagement

Meridian provided page plans and copy, then reviewed the published implementation against those deliverables. The following scope is retained in the project’s launch-audit records; the client’s identity and individual URLs are anonymized.

Diagnosis and page decisions

Give each comparison a decision to support
The page plans distinguished product types, relevant workloads, pricing units, documentation, and migration considerations. Each comparison connected the reader to an appropriate product or setup path.
Make existing guides more useful
Guide updates added clearer setup steps, configuration examples, verification output, troubleshooting, and product links. Titles and descriptions were checked against the revised body content.
Review the path after publication
The audit followed the route from navigation to content and from content to documentation or plans. Search checks and mobile interaction checks were part of the same delivery review.

Implementation and review

  1. 01 · Content delivery

Eight comparison pages and six guide updates

Eight new supplier-comparison pages were published with the planned titles, descriptions, H1s, and primary and secondary calls to action. Six existing guides had their core rewrites and metadata updates implemented. The comparison pages also appeared in the comparison hub and site navigation.

  2. 02 · Launch audit

Search configuration and six legacy redirects

The review covered 19 content pages, including five additional recent articles. All 19 appeared in the sitemap, had one H1 and a self-referencing canonical, and had no noindex directive. Six former English blog addresses redirected in one 301 step to their corresponding current pages.

  3. 03 · Follow-up review

Content accuracy, next steps, and mobile loading

The audit identified specific follow-up work in pricing units, code-error handling, rate-limit waits, verification examples, and product-button destinations. A later mobile lab test under the same conditions recorded improved loading for one guide; site-wide user-performance measures remained under observation.

Search performance and measurement

Across two consecutive 28-day windows, whole-site Google organic clicks increased by approximately 22% and impressions by 108%. Both windows fall within the service period. The chart uses an index to preserve the client’s absolute traffic figures.

Keep implementation dates tied to their records
The comparison-page and guide-update batch was checked before the reporting period ended. Later integration tutorials and subsequent plans are tracked separately, so their later acceptance records are not used to explain an earlier search result.
Measure search reach at the page level next
The result covers whole-site search, including brand queries and the homepage. The next analysis separates product pages, comparisons, and guides, then checks how each connects readers with a relevant product action.

What this means for similar projects

For B2B infrastructure, a useful search page helps someone make a product decision or complete a technical task. This project paired concrete content delivery with launch checks, then assessed the search change over equal reporting windows.
